General Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director, Business Intelligence, the Application Support Intern will assist the Data Team with various testing, project management and data analysis projects.
The Application Support Intern must be available to work a minimum of 16 hours a week. This is a great opportunity to acquire knowledge related to development management, enhancement, and supporting existing and new applications that meet or exceed business requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Must currently be seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management or a related major
- Current Junior or Senior status in college
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge in computer methodology and project management
- Knowledge of workflow processes and automation of processes
- Local candidates only, stipend for living expenses will not be provided
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in project planning and implementation of new systems/processes.
- Support the management and organization of new/existing programs and systems.
- Participate in team meetings and provide input on project progress.
- Conduct testing and provide feedback on application updates.
- Create and maintain technical documentation including, but not limited to, documenting processes and workflow maps.
- All other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
- Works in a normal office environment where there are no physical discomforts due to temperatures, noise, dust, etc.
- Frequent prolonged use of CRT screen may produce visual fatigue.
- Work requires attention to detail, flexibility in assignment changes and meeting deadlines, which may produce mental fatigue.
- Work requires frequent standing and walking for photocopying, moving and stocking supplies and other support for staff.
- This position is a Level 3 – Low to no exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens and no exposure to TB. These employees do not visit hospitals.
