Job Description

• Deploy TDE across all non-Cardinal databases to ensure encryption at rest.
• Configure and maintain TDE settings, keys, and certificates in line with security policies.
• Ensure minimal disruption during the encryption process while maintaining system availability.
• Implement and enforce best practices for database administration, focusing on performance, security, and availability.
• Optimize database performance through efficient configuration, monitoring, and tuning.
• Maintain database security by managing access controls, auditing, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
• Address and resolve audit findings related to database security and operations, specifically those raised in audits.
• Assist in creating and updating documentation to ensure continuous compliance with audit standards.

Skills Required:

• Experience as a SQL DBA. Required 5 Years
• In-depth knowledge of TDE (Transparent Database Encryption) setup and management. Required 3 Years
• Familiarity with database security concepts (e.g., user authentication, encryption, auditing). Required 3 Years
• Experience with backup and recovery technologies for databases. Required 3 Years
• Understanding of database performance tuning and capacity planning. Required 3 Years
• Proficient in PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages for automation. Required 3 Years
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools. Required Years
• Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent database administrator certifications. Desired

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $46.15 - $55.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• SQL DBA: 5 years (Required)
• Transparent DB Encryption (TDE) expert: 3 years (Required)
• Knowledge of DB security: auth, encryption, auditing: 3 years (Required)
• Knowledge of DB backup and restore tools: 3 years (Required)
• DB performance tuning & capacity planning: 3 years (Required)
• Skilled in PowerShell/scripting for automation tasks.: 3 years (Required)
• Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools.: 3 years (Required)
• Azure DBA Associate or similar DB admin certification: 3 years (Required)
