Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to support the implementation of Transparent Database Encryption (TDE) across all non-Cardinal systems.
Duties:
Deploy Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) across all non-Cardinal databases to ensure encryption at rest.
Configure and manage TDE settings, keys, and certificates in compliance with security policies.
Ensure minimal disruption to operations during the encryption process while maintaining system availability.
Implement and enforce best practices for database administration, focusing on performance, security, and availability.
Optimize database performance through effective configuration, monitoring, and tuning.
Maintain database security by managing access controls, conducting audits, and monitoring for suspicious activity.
Address and resolve audit findings related to database security and operations.
Assist in creating and updating documentation to ensure ongoing compliance with audit standards.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience as a SQL DBA
3 years of in-depth knowledge of TDE (Transparent Database Encryption) setup and management
3 years of familiarity with database security concepts (e.g., user authentication, encryption, auditing)
3 years of experience with backup and recovery technologies for databases
3 years of understanding of database performance tuning and capacity planning
3 years of proficiency in PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages for automation
Hands-on experience with database monitoring tools
Preferred Skills:
- Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent database administrator certifications
