Role: IT Project Manager (Infrastructure, Cloud, and Security)-W2 Only
Location: Columbia, SC- Hybrid
Duration: One Year with possibility of extensions.
Job Description:
Under general supervision, reporting to Management, serves as an experienced Project Manager responsible for multiple infrastructures, cloud-based, information security, and/or application-level projects.
This contractor will be one member of a team that is comprised of proven experts in some or all the fields of analysis, research, project management, networking, virtual environments, information security, encryption, network automation, centralized IT management, cloud computing, Microsoft applications, SQL database management systems, end-user support, and applications development or support environments, etc.
Responsibilities:
1. Serves as Project Manager for agency projects and activities
3. Is required to followagency's methodology, the Project Management Approach For The Systems Development Lifecycle
4. Assists Agency management and project stakeholders in information technology planning related to the agency program
5. Clarifies expectations and defines requirements. Directs the work activities and priorities of team leaders, architects, consultants, analysts, and technicians engaged in design, procurement, testing, and implementation of agency projects and activities. Responsible for providing feedback to agency management on staff, assignments, training, development, and performance related to agency.
6. Serves as primary contact person for agency project stakeholders and contractors to resolve day-to-day issues, process change requests, and manage schedules for agency projects and activities. Escalates to the agency management and project sponsors any issues, change requests, and schedule impacts.
7. Coordinates with agency management and resources responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of agency components post-implementation as needed for knowledge transfer and for coordination with new agency implementation.
8. Estimates, tracks and reports on costs, including potential hard dollar, and internal agency personnel and contractor hours. Reports regularly to Management and Sponsor as to project status, including project accomplishments, issues, risks, and financials. Serves as project advisor to agency Management, Project Sponsors, and Steering Committee.
9. Documents expected benefits, such as reduction in cycle time, personnel savings, and any hard dollar savings for any enhancement requests other than ones mandated by legislation.
10. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

9. At least 3 years of experience on infrastructure or network-related projects as well as applications projects
10. Experience with meeting facilitation
11. Working knowledge of the change management lifecycle
12. Experience with requirements / environments for PCI, PUB1075, and/or NIST.
Preferred skills :
1. Experience as a project manager
in government IT projects
2. Experience implementing both Cloud and On-Premise solutions.
3. Knowledge of Microsoft products- Windows, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, MS Office, Office 365, Visio
4. Knowledge of information technology best practices, organization and operations
5. BA and/or QA experience
6. Ability to write training documentation and/or procedures
7. Vendor management skills
8. Metrics analysis and reporting
9. Applicable industry certifications for project management or specific technologies
10. Easily adapts to changing priorities in a dynamic environment
11. Ability to conduct research into issues and products as required
