Role: VMware Architect III
Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid
Duration: 6/30/2025, with the potential to extend for an additional term(s)
No WI residency requited. OPEN TO NATIONWIDE CANDIDATES. This position is currently hybrid. However, position status is subject to change.
Hybrid/On Site positions: This position is currently hybrid. (95% remote ~5% onsite) However, position status is subject to change. No designated work-space will be assigned however, selected candidate must be available to work at our location as needed. Client does not pay for travel time or reimburse for travel expenses.
Project details: The individual will work closely with Information Technology professionals to ensure technical components are available for projects and working properly. They will work closely with the supervisor and project teams to successfully monitor the progress of initiatives, provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions, and define clear goals for all aspects of a project and manage their proper execution. They will have the ability to direct a small team in completing tasks, improving on operational support or maintenance, and document processes as needed.

- The technical lead will have experience analyzing new and current technologies used within an organization (VMWare and VDI) with the ability to document and recommend solutions to improve on performance, stability, and cost savings to the agency. (10 years)
- The qualified candidate will have experience leading a project team as a technical expert in system implementation, working with project managers and leadership to set project goals, identifying subject matter experts, providing technical best practices to help in decision making, and the lead technical support for different projects and systems.
