Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled In-Vivo Imaging Scientist with expertise in preclinical rodent imaging studies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in conducting rodent imaging using Positron Emission Tomography (PET), proficiency in rodent injection techniques (including intravenous), and the handling of radioactive materials in a research setting. This role will contribute to the advancement of cutting-edge biomedical research by applying in-vivo imaging technologies to support preclinical studies in various therapeutic areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-vivo imaging of rodents, primarily utilizing PET, to assess biological processes in preclinical models.
- Administer intravenous injections of radiolabeled compounds in rodents following established protocols.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Analyze imaging data and assist with interpretation, reporting, and publication of results.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, observations, and results.
- Participate in the development and optimization of new imaging techniques and protocols.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and publications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in rodent imaging studies, specifically with PET, intravenous injection techniques, and working with radioactive materials.
- Proficient in PET imaging and analysis.
- Experience with animal handling, including anesthesia, IV injections, and maintaining rodent health.
- Knowledge of safety protocols for handling radioactive isotopes and materials.
- Familiarity with imaging data analysis software and relevant statistical methods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as handling rodents and operating imaging equipment.
