We are seeking an experienced Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Substation Project Manager to lead the successful execution of substation projects from initiation to completion. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substation construction, project management, and stakeholder coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle for high-voltage substation projects (greenfield and brownfield).
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans to meet contract requirements.
- Oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies to align project objectives.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, industry standards, and company policies.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage change orders, procurement, and contract negotiations as needed.
- Drive efficiency and innovation in project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience managing T&D substation projects.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage substation construction, protection & control, and commissioning processes.
- Proficiency in project management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards (NESC, IEEE, OSHA, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP certification is a plus.
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
