Mori Seiki CNC Mill-Turn Operator (1st Shift)
Ingersoll Cutting Tools Company is proud to be part of the IMC Group of Companies with 140 subsidiaries in 65 countries. Our US operations are housed on our state-of-the-art manufacturing and marketing campus in Rockford, Illinois. We are currently accepting applications for a Mori Seiki CNC Mill-Turn Operator.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Set up and operate Mori CNC turning center (dual spindle)
- Conduct complete set-ups, fixture selection with minor program editing.
- Interpretation of engineering drawings including geometric tolerances.
- Conducts 1st part inspection and process auditing.
- Works to applicable process protocols/procedures.
- Quality assurance and labor reporting via Windows based computer systems.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Work OT and weekends as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year CNC turning experience or 1 year manufacturing coupled with appropriate CNC trade school experience.
- Familiar with Fanuc controls a plus
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including geometric tolerances.
- Ability to utilize electronic and mechanical precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Intermediate math skills: Addition, subtraction of decimals; Metric to English conversion; trigonometry a plus.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated.
- Trade school experience a plus.
- Strong work ethic and be self-motivated.
- Knowledge of G & M Codes or basic programming a plus.
This is a full-time 1st shift (6-2:10 pm) position that may require regular overtime based on workflow demands, including long shifts and weekend work.

Candidates should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess a good work ethic, demonstrate reliable and punctual work habits, demonstrate safety consciousness, and always conduct themselves in a professional manner. All Candidates must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the US.
The Salary range for this position is $20-$30/hr.
