Inland Eye Care is a growing private optometry practice in the beautiful city of Moscow, ID with an emphasis on creating a culture where patients and team members feel honored as though they were family. We opened our doors in October of 2019 and are thrilled to be growing our team! The optometric technician/office assistant will be responsible for preparing patients to visit with the doctor, performing ancillary tests on patients, assisting with front desk reception duties, assisting in small optical tasks, and various tasks that arise on a day-to-day basis while providing a great interpersonal experience for our patients. We are looking for a dependable candidate that preferably has experience in a medical office, exceptional written/verbal communication skills, a positive attitude, is flexible as the office grows, has excellent time management skills, has the ability to multitask, and most of all the passion to be instrumental in helping continue to lay the foundation for a newer clinic.
Job Responsibilities
- Pre-screening patient prior to their appointments in a timely fashion
- Performing ancillary testing for patients
- Assisting patient with eyeglass frame selection
- Scheduling appointments
- Verifying insurance plans
- Greeting patients and customers
- Stocking and inventory
- Submitting insurance claims
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Answering phone calls, texts, and emails
- Data entry
Candidate requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- at least 2 years of experience in customer service
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- great interpersonal and customer service skills
- the availability to work full time including 2 evenings per week and one Saturday every other month

Compensation ranges from $15-$19 per hour and will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
