Description
The Production Trainee Program will last between 18 and 24 months and is designed to prepare the trainee for a future position within the organization. This program will provide several opportunities in various roles or business areas such as Customer Technical Services or Field & Account Management. The trainee will be provided with progressive practical work and project experience in several interdisciplinary environments prior to being placed in their full-time position.
Program overview:
- Work closely with assigned mentor and manager to learn and develop into a future role in Sales/Services Representative, or Customer Technical Services
- Work in the field with Customer Technical Services and Operations at the district level
- Gather an understanding of the oilfield industry and the basics of what we do at Innospec and why we do what we do
- Work with assigned mentor to learn the production equipment used by field personnel
- Attend technical classes to strengthen knowledge of chemicals
- Apply technical knowledge to real world applications in the field and in the office
- Travel to different field locations and gain an understanding of technical issues in other areas
- Ride along with Delivery Drivers, Service Techs and Sales Representatives to gain an understanding of day-to-day operations
- Areas of focus during program will include; Water chemistry, Emulsion, Scale and Basics Management, corrosion basics and management, Failure Analysis, Oilfield bacteria, Wax/Asphaltene, Foamers, H2S/Static Mixer, Presentation skills/report writing, and equipment operation
- Attend sales calls with Sales team and District Managers
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, will consider relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Must be available to travel 60-80% of the time to different company locations
- Have a valid drivers license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated with a desire to learn
