Referral Coordinator

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for an Outside Referral Coordinator

Position type: Full-time, Contract

Duration: 5 Months

Location: Portland, OR 97232

As an Outside Referral Coordinator you will:

• Coordinate and manage referrals for outside medical care.
• Verify patient eligibility, coverage, and benefits.
• Confirm provider status and maintain compliance with timeframes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members.
• Utilize CPT and ICD 9/10 coding knowledge for accurate documentation.
• Handle multiple tasks and adapt to frequent changes with ease.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with community health workers to support patient needs.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Expected Shift: 30 hours M-Th, hours/days flexible, but sometime between 8 and 5. During training the first few months would be onsite in Portland. After training it will go to a partial remote.

The ideal candidate will have: At least 1 year of experience in a patient/client-facing role, strong communication skills, proficiency in CPT and ICD 9/10 coding, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $25 - $28 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
