We provide innovative programming for youth and focused on building pathways in science, technology, engineering, and math. From robotics teams and coding classes to summer camps, our goal is to empower the next generation of creators, problem-solvers, and leaders.
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and organized STEM Program Coordinator to join our team. This individual will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting STEM education programs and events at INNOVATE Albion. The ideal candidate is passionate about STEM education, enjoys working with students and community partners, and excels at coordination and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate STEM programs, including after-school classes, summer camps, workshops, and community events
- Serve as the primary point of contact for instructors, volunteers, and families participating in programs
- Manage program logistics, including scheduling, registration, supplies, and classroom setup
- Support student engagement by fostering a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and marketing staff to promote programs and recruit participants
- Track program participation, gather feedback, and assist with evaluation and reporting
- Help recruit and support volunteers and part-time instructors as needed
- Ensure all activities align with INNOVATE Albion’s mission, values, and safety standards
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, STEM, nonprofit management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience working with youth, particularly in educational or extracurricular settings
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and basic tech tools; experience with registration platforms a plus
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special programs or events
- Background check required upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

Work Schedule and Environment
- This is a part-time position (30 hours per week)
- Some schedule flexibility available depending on programming schedule
- Role requires in-person work during program hours and occasional offsite events
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
