Overview:
We're looking for a high-energy professional to lead our core business, focusing on rideshare rentals. Your focus will be to lead and develop a team of customer support associates and fully own the business operations. This position requires leadership, ambition, and, especially, grit to be successful.
What you’ll do
- Meet and exceed key operating and financial targets, including utilization rates, average rental rates, active rental days per unit, revenue, average wrench days, average hold days, and Google review scores.
- Develop, train, and evaluate customer support and fleet teams.
- Lead rideshare operations, including customer interactions via email, text, phone, and in-person, as well as daily rental launches, returns, swaps, repossessions, and market-related inquiries.
- Manage administrative tasks, including weekly payroll submissions, PTO request handling, and direct report development.
- Liaise with garage facility operations to ensure vehicle readiness and efficient service turnaround times.
- Resolve customer issues promptly to ensure a positive customer support experience.
- Invest time in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees.
- Provide weekly reports to the management team.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record in business, operations management, statistics/mathematics, analytics, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- 4 years of professional experience in rental car operations, retail, automotive, or hospitality.
- 3 years of leadership experience, preferably within a tech-enabled business.
- Ability to lead a team with minimal guidance from management.
- Strong business judgment, critical thinking, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and apply a cross-functional mindset.
- Capacity to balance competing priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Mastery of Google Sheets and proficiency in building systematic models to track metrics and documents.
- Ability to draw insights from data and implement action plans to drive continuous improvement.
