Position OverviewRecreation Services and the Intramural Sports program are seeking students to join our team as an Intramural Basketball Official for the spring 2025 Basketball season. The Intramural Basketball Official is responsible for providing an atmosphere of fun in a competitive, yet safe, environment. Officials must be able to implement Intramural Sports policies and sport specific rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety. Officials should maintain a positive attitude on-site and should always be striving to improve their umpiring skills.
No prior officiating experience is needed. All training will be provided by student Supervisors prior to beginning work.
Participation in Intramural Sports by officials is encouraged!
A wide variety of skills are developed by Intramural Sports officials which include but are not limited to :

This is a seasonal position (late January – late March) with the opportunity to also officiate soccer and volleyball after spring break.Job DescriptionThe duties of an Intramural Basketball Official include :
80% Officiating Intramural Basketball games
10% Documentation of Intramural Basketball games
5% Court set up
