CAD Operator

Job Description:

Working under direct supervision, the CAD Operator performs CAD and related duties and provides CAD support for all divisions. This position participates in special projects and assignments, specifically will be moving CAD files to a new database. Will convert PDF files, wrap in title block, and put into CAD database (Meridian).

Must Haves:

• 1-3 years experience with CAD
• GED/BA
• Experience with AutoCAD

Plusses:

• Experience with Meridian Document Management System

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must have an understanding of mapping and electrical drafting disciplines, basic drafting standards and associated symbology.
• Knowledge of x-references; model space and paper space; layouts and viewports; and plan, elevation, and sectional views is required.
• Ability to produce new and/or edit existing basic CAD drawings and maps from notes, sketches or verbal direction is required.
• Must have an understanding of related hardware/ software and their applications and the ability to proficiently and independently operate CAD and/or GIS software and hardware with all associated peripherals (for example: scanners, plotters, printers, etc.).
• Must be able to type 35 net words per minute.

$42/hr to $45/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
