Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Development Engineer to join a large power generation company in their office in Phoenix, Arizona, or Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the Director of Development Engineering, you will lead essential technical and engineering tasks. You will collaborate with internal experts and external consultants to deliver initial engineering solutions and offer crucial technical perspectives that propel our ambitious projects forward. This is a permanent job opportunity based in Phoenix, Arizona, or Edmonton, Alberta, with a hybrid schedule (3 days working in office, 2 days working from home). This position requires 20% - 25% travel across the United States and Canada to support the sites.
Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of experience as a Project Engineer / Project EIT / Development Engineer / etc.
• Experience in the development or construction of projects - Ideally power generation projects (Thermal/Natural Gas, Renewables, or Energy Storage).
• Experience putting together estimates, and doing technology evaluations.
• Science degree, or technical diploma.
• Genuine interest/passion for power generation/thermal/natural gas/solar/renewable energy.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with PVsyst, or similar software used for design, simulation and analysis of photovoltaic systems (solar power systems).
• Project management or project coordination experience.
• Experience with acquisitions and development projects.
Salary : $125,000 - $165,000
