Required Skills & Experience:
• In the immediate Destin, FL or Charleston, SC area • Able to travel nationwide roughly 60% of the time • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (strong plus, not a requirement) • 6 years of construction management experience, including 5 years in federal operations • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) and procurement processes • Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar projects • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities • Federal security clearance or eligibility required.
Job Description:
• Manage, develop and execute strategic plans for the company’s Space Coast operations • Ensure construction practices align with federal regulations and company goals • Oversee planning, execution, and completion of federal projects • Monitor project performance metrics, budgets, and schedules • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) • Lead audits and reviews for federal compliance • Serve as the primary liaison with federal agencies and stakeholders • Build and maintain relationships for customer satisfaction and future opportunities • Manage a team of project managers, engineers, and construction professionals • Foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement • Potentially help identify and pursue new federal construction opportunities through proposals and contract negotiations • Conduct project risk assessments and escalate risks to VP • Must be willing to travel up to 60% to Florida to interface with customers
