What are the responsibilities and job description for the Information Technology Technician position at Insight Global?
Insight Global is looking for a Tier 2 Helpdesk Technician to work for a company in North Port, FL. The main responsibility of this person will be to improve ticketing systems and functions of the windows servers and to monitor network and security issues.
Responsibilities:
- Continue to work on improving ticketing systems and their functions
- PowerShell scripts to improve automation
- Stream line Windows 11 updates
- Create group polices for Windows servers and devices (Windows 10 and 11 Pro)
- Security improvements for operating systems
- Train Jr technicians on best practices
- Assist with tier 2 and 3 tickets
- Troubleshoot firewalls and network security issues
- Monitor network for issues/status problems
- Office 365 configuration
- Repair hardware/computer issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years in IT support and networking for a managed service environment
- Proficiency in Office 365, Microsoft Exchange, Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and server management
- Ability to assist in building out ticketing systems as well as manage networks and firewalls
- Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) experience
- Minimum of a 2-year IT degree, preferably in Cybersecurity, Network Administration, or System Administration
Plus:
- HIPPA Compliance experience
Salary : $50,000 - $55,000
