The Controller serves as the financial backbone of Insight Therapeutics LLC, overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic insights to support growth. This role combines first-hand financial management with strategic oversight, requiring the versatility to handle multiple responsibilities in our organizational structure. Location: Full-time, reporting to our Norfolk office to complete and oversee financial functions.
Responsibilities
• Financial Management & Reporting
• Oversee bookkeeping daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (e.g., balance sheets and income statements) for leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost-saving initiatives to optimize financial performance.
• Compliance & Internal Controls
• Ensure adherence to federal/state tax regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GAAP).
• Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Advise leadership on financial decisions, such as cost reductions, expansion plans, or risk management.
• Streamline accounting processes using software (QuickBooks) and automate workflows where possible.
