Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Experience: One to two years previous Human Resources experience preferred. Experience in Job Corps and or working with youth preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, or related field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid State driver’s license required. Professional in Human Resources Certification (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred.

Duties
- Assists the Human Resources Manager in resolving employee relations issues in a timely manner.
- Assists the Human Resources Manager with employee investigations.
- Conducts benefits enrollment for new employees.
- Verifies I-9 documentation and maintain binder.
- Assists with the preparation and monitoring of the performance appraisal process.
- Assists Human Resources Manager with various research and special projects.
- Assists with recruitment and interview process.
- Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by Human Resources Manager.
- Completes all administrative functions of the HR Department.
- Prepares new employee files and file papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources functions for all employees.
- Conducts new employee orientation and employee reference checks.
- Maintains records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures and EEO reporting.
- Assists in exit interview process.
- Assists in employee training and development efforts.
- Maintains Human Resources Information System records and complies reports from database as needed.
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits such as life, health, dental, vision, long-term and short-term disability, tuition reimbursement and retirement plan for Center employees.
- Assists in preparing and submitting monthly budget reports, vacancy, and labor/separation reports.
- Assists supervisory personnel to administer HR programs necessary to attract and retain staff.
- Process employee payroll information and HRIS information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Keeps all personnel records in a confidential manner.
- Models, mentors, and monitors appropriate career success skills.
- Maintains accountability of assigned property, adheres to required property control policies and procedures, ensure staff are properly trained and held accountable for assigned property.
- Adheres to safety practices and performs safety inspections in area of responsibility.
- Monitors and complies with all DOL guidelines, EEO, Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) regulations, Job Corps notices and bulletins, and center policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the individual’s scope and capabilities.
