USSM specializes in clinic operations management and ancillary development/management, allowing their physician partners to focus on what they were trained to do…quality patient care! They aim to preserve independent individual practices while controlling patient care and operations. They have assembled a group of healthcare leaders with years of experience and knowledge that will assist in accomplishing a practice’s goals while still allowing them to maintain control.

As the IT Director for USSM, you will oversee and manage their clinics, hospitals, and employees' technical infrastructure, support, and operations. Your primary objective will be to ensure patient data privacy and HIPAA compliance, ensure smooth and efficient functioning of all technical systems and processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness. You will oversee the outsourcing services of various IT vendors and coordinate with local onsite IT coordinators. The IT Director is critical in ensuring their organization's technical infrastructure's security, reliability, and efficiency. By overseeing technical operations and implementing best practices, you will contribute to the organization's success, technological capabilities, and patient and staff loyalty/satisfaction.

To thrive as their IT Director, you should have:        

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent work experience (5 years) in technical operations or infrastructure management accepted.
• Solid knowledge of network architecture, cloud computing, data center operations, IT security, healthcare technologies, and enterprise storage systems. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CISSP) are a plus.
• Proven experience working with Executive/Senior-level leadership and C-level executives. Skilled at translating complex IT concepts for non-technical stakeholders in large, matrixed, multi-state organizations.
• Experience in outsourced IT environments or consulting, focusing on continuous improvement and decision-making in dynamic settings.
• Ability to travel as needed (~25%) and ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local IT regulations.

Your responsibilities as the IT Director will include:

• Design, deploy, and maintain networks, servers, storage systems, and cloud platforms to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement robust security measures and disaster recovery plans to protect critical systems and data.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, evaluate their applicability, and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to define metrics and improve operations while managing vendor relationships to ensure effective service delivery.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, manage the technical operations budget, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
