JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Career Services is the primary administrator responsible for the leadership, management, and supervision of Career Services staffing, performance metrics, resources, programs, and events for Career Services as they apply to graduate employment outcomes. Responsible for maintaining placement rates pursuant to governing agency requirements, ensuring placement database and documentation integrity, and representing the school in a professional manner to the business community and the public at large and performs related work as required.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Under the direct supervision of the Campus President, the Incumbent is responsible for managing the department, tracking performance metrics, advising and assisting the Career Services Staff in the following duties and responsibilities:
- Assist with the hiring of Career Services staff.
- Actively manage Career Services team work activity and perform staff training and evaluations.
- Oversee Career Services initiatives and staff, driving a strategic vision and the implementation of new services and support creatively and effectively to engage all students and graduates.
- Maintain, update, and provide key metrics to promote positive Career Services performance outcomes.
- Collaborate with Career Services team to develop and implement a placement model that will provide the foundation for connection students and graduates to employers that will directly impact the school’s ability to exceed placement goals pursuant to governing agency requirements.
- Develop and implement research, marketing plans, and relationships with companies to promote positive employer relationships and the school's branding and achieve graduate employment goals.
- Ensure interdepartmental collaboration to achieve the utmost effectiveness of student and graduate support as it applies to employment outcomes.
- Assist with the development of and participation in Program Advisory Boards.
- Assist with State, Federal, and Accrediting Agency reports as needed and/or as required.
- Provide instruction and assistance to students on developing job-seeking skills as required.
- Assist students with resume preparation and updating as required.
- Accurately maintain the placement database on all active students.
- Set up interviews for students and follow up with potential employers and students.
- Present job search workshops as needed or required.
- Verify placement of students, maintaining records with integrity.
- Attend management meetings.
- Ensure department compliance with school, State, Federal, and Accrediting Agency standards.
- Participate in community organizations, committees, and networks with employers.
- Assist students in obtaining part-time, supplemental income jobs while in school as needed.
- Participate in communications and placement meetings, in-service sessions, student orientation, graduation, and other school events as required by the school.
- Other duties as required by the Campus President
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
