Job description
This position is for the servicing of existing insurance accounts; it also requires sales involvement such as assisting producers in preparing insurance quotes for both new and renewal policies. The role of a Personal Lines Account Manager requires accurate and courteous service to our clients, team members, and all company personnel. Each Account Manager shall grow and develop talents and insurance knowledge to the highest level possible.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Directly responsible for the daily service requirements of Personal Lines, including, but not limited to:
- Preparing applications and quoting for current producers
- Preparing proposals for new and current clients
- Reviewing and processing applications, renewals, policies, and endorsements
- Binding coverage and confirming with clients
- Maintaining files in an online client management system
- Monitoring past-due accounts and contacting client and/or producer, as needed
- Assisting in gathering and/or providing information necessary to issue polices
- Keeping producers informed of important activities regarding their clients
- Keeping client records, spreadsheets, and summaries up to date
- Completing other essential functions, as assigned
- Stay up to date on insurance underwriting criteria, rates, forms, and coverage changes via bulletins, trade publications, seminars, and offered training.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills in:
- Strong organizational skills: ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Strong teamwork mentality and willingness to collaborate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Reasoning Skills - able to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, spreadsheet, or schedule form
- 1 year experience working at an insurance agency
- Computer skills - in Office 365 and Adobe Acrobat

Physical Demands
