Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records and reports, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor the company's liquidity and financial health.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Manage accounts payable processes & accounts receivables, including invoice verification and payment processing.
- Process, review and approve monthly client reports and statements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support corporate finance activities by analyzing financial data and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Stay updated on governmental accounting regulations and compliance requirements.
- Provide guidance on wills, trusts, estate law, and other related financial concepts as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA designation is a plus.
- Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cash flow analysis, corporate finance, and governmental accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial report writing and general ledger reconciliation techniques.
- Familiarity with accounts payable processes and account reconciliation practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
