Key Responsibilities:
Lender Insurance Advisory Work
- Conduct pre and post-closing insurance and risk reviews of commercial real estate transactions to ensure adherence to lender insurance requirements based on deal type and location.
- Ensure insurance compliance with U.S. commercial loan requirements and P&C insurance programs.
- Analyze the Borrowers’ insurance coverage, including limits, exclusions, and terms, to assess adequacy and identify potential coverage gaps on behalf of Lenders.
- Provide clear confirmation to Lenders that the insurance requirements have been met and/or identify discrepancies with detailed explanations and actionable recommendations.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify operational and asset-related risks, considering regulatory and industry-specific factors.
- Maintain comprehensive insurance certificate tracking systems to monitor policy renewals, compliance, and alignment with business needs.
Client Relationship Management:
- Liaise with Lenders, Borrowers, Insurance Brokers, and Lawyers to resolve insurance coverage gaps and ensure proper coverage is in place through the life of the Loan.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by guiding and educating clients Lenders, and Borrowers, and related parties on risk management, market trends, and insurance-related matters.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exemplary service delivery.
Transaction Management:
- Collaborate with insurance Brokers and credit review teams to explain and mitigate potential risk exposures through tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with INTECH Consultants to deliver detailed deal packages, including certificates of insurance and risk assessment documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Track deal flow, manage issue resolution, and provide timely and detailed client status reporting.
Risk Mitigation and Market Insights:
- Stay informed on regulatory changes and market trends affecting insurance practices in the U.S., providing clients with actionable insights.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and service enhancements.
- Monitor market trends, including pricing fluctuations, capacity constraints, and emerging risks, to provide strategic guidance to clients.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen organizational capabilities and deliver added value to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant P&C insurance experience, with a focus on the U.S. market.
- Experience with insurance, financing, or commercial transaction management required.
- Demonstrated expertise in insurance documentation review and commercial real estate transactions preferred.
- Professional designations such as CPCU, ARM, or CRM are a strong asset.

- Proficient knowledge of insurance principles and practices, including P&C lines and risk financing techniques.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
