- Our Medical Office Receptionist/TMS Technician will have core responsibilities in a diverse range of administrative support needs.This highly organized and customer-service minded position works internally with management and other office staff on a daily and weekly basis. Additionally, they will provide, monitor, and document TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) treatments while maintaining a therapeutic environment and building relationships with patients. TMS is an innovative new treatment for depression!

Front Office/TMS Technician Responsibilities:
- Greeting patients
- Answering the phone
- Scheduling patient follow up appointments
- Verifying insurance
- Generating invoices for patient visits
- Follow up on issues such as prescription refills, appointment reminders, documentation, etc.
- Administer TMS treatments according to specific physician protocols.
- Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions for patient comfort and treatment accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with patient comfort, coil contact, and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
- Provide excellent patient care and treat patients with compassion while developing trust and rapport.
- Provide support, reflective listening and compassion to patients struggling with depression and/or anxiety. Coach patients during treatments using positive reinforcement to ensure optimal results are received.
- Monitor patients during treatments for abnormal reactions, reporting such to Clinic Manager.
- Maintain accurate patient medical records and physical charts; all charting to be completed by end of day.
- Performs other related duties as needed.
Front Office/TMS Technician Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a medical/health related field preferred;
- Successful completion of TMS Certification within the initial employment period required.
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a medical or behavioral health office required; prior experience with TMS preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work with patients suffering from anxiety and depression while maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability and willingness to work collaboratively as a team member are required.
- Ability to read, understand and apply practice standards, technical procedures and other standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with EMRs and Microsoft Office products
