What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Integrated Dermatology?
Check patients in for their appointments. Verify demographics insurances and copayments.
Check patients out after they see the provider. Collect copayments and schedule followup appointments. Reconcile payments at end of day and create deposit for bank.
Answer phones and create and send tasks to appropriate person.
Schedule appointments per provider protocols.
Open and distribute mail.
Scan paperwork into patient charts.
Obtain prior authorizations for medications through applications phone or fax. Communicate with pharmacies as needed.
Write appeals for denied prior authorizations as needed.
Schedule delivery of samples from pharmaceutical representatives.

Experience :
Minimum : 1 plus years of work experience in a medical setting
Experience with Electronic Medical Record EHR
Education :
High School Diploma is required
Certifications / Licenses :
Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate / Diploma preferred
