Salary Range: 26.48 To 38.50 (USD) Hourly
SUMMARYThe Dietary Supervisor directs and supervises kitchen activities and the delivery of food to patients and special functions as assigned in consultation with the Food Service Director. He/She assists the Food Service Director with staff development, purchasing, production and distribution. He/She implements established procedures and methods for kitchen operation, develops and evaluates new methods to assist the Food Service Director in planning, organizing, and/or implementing policies and procedures as requested. The Dietary Supervisor reports directly to the Food Service Director. This position is exposed to extremes in temperature, from walk-in freezers to hot electrical equipment, and works with sharp objects (i.e. knives) and hazardous cleaning agents.REQUIREMENTSMinimum Experience: Previous managerial experience in institutional food service preferred, knowledge and experience in preparing ethnic meals and food required.
