The Business Development Executive is responsible for the business-to-business sales and marketing of staffing and human resource services, including but not limited to temporary staffing, direct placement, payrolling, recruitment process outsourcing (RPO), and on-premise workforce management in designated local markets. The primary objective of this role is to sell and onboard new clients to increase billable hours, total sales dollars, and gross profit dollars.
Driven by Integrated Human Capital's sales process and required weekly sales activity, you will be accountable for proactively generating new business leads, setting appointments and qualifying prospects, building and managing a sales pipeline of targeted account opportunities, making sales presentations, negotiating, closing, and onboarding new business.
Business Development Executive Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accountable for proactively generating new business leads using creative and professional sales techniques and tactics.
- Managing own calendar by setting appointments for client visits, facility tours, etc.
- Building and managing a sales pipeline of targeted account opportunities
- Prepares and delivers sales presentations
- Use negotiation skills to close new business and onboard new clients
- Maintaining sales documentation
- Preparing professional correspondence and creating proposals
- Attending business networking events
- Assess market conditions and competitive landscape in order to develop effective sales strategies
- Collaborate effectively with a team of recruiters, marketing, and operations staff
Business Development Executive Skills and Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven success in an inside/outside, Hunter to Closer sales role, preferably with one year of experience in the staffing industry.
- Proven effectiveness at “relationship” selling and territory management.
- Track record of achieving established sales goals and quotas.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating client needs and determining customized pricing and solutions.
- Basic knowledge and use of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and social media (i.e., LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
- Knowledge of CRM systems is preferred.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Use of a personal vehicle to travel throughout the designated sales territory is essential. A valid Driver’s License and proof of insurance are required.
- Ability to work extended hours when needed (before 8:00 am or after 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday) to attend in-person and virtual networking events and company meetings.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to communicate orally with candidates, customers, vendors, management, and other co-workers. Regular use of telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. No heavy lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office.
Work Environment:
A working model may combine office work along with occasional to frequent travel to client work sites as required.
