JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking certified peer recovery coach. This position will assist the addiction treatment population. This position works closely with local community crisis teams including but not limited to law enforcement, emergency medical systems, and hospital emergency rooms. This position is mobile when necessary and in coordination with other community safety response teams. This position may work various shifts of the day/evening or over the course of the week and weekends. Engage in assessments, person-centered service planning. Use unique skills and life experiences to guide the individuals served through the multiple life challenges and opportunities that exist.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified Recovery Specialist (preferred) - CRS or Certified Health Worker - CHW or CAPRC
- Knowledge of or ability to learn a client-centered coaching approach that emphasizes nonjudgmental empathetic interaction and collaborative development and implementation of behavior change plans with an emphasis on motivational interviewing and behavior change techniques.
- Detail-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills. High level of oral communication skill
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Ability to learn new computer-based documentation skills
- Understanding of behavioral health diagnosis, signs and symptoms.
