Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including fire alarms, surveillance systems, monitoring and security systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. This position is a travel job. We service and install at key sites all over the US. We pay for all travel expenses including a vehicle, gas card, hotels and meals. When needed, also flight expenses and rental cars. Our primary function is installing new systems to monitor key equipment in the telecom industry. We have a guaranteed weekly salary along with time off and job profit bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including alarming points for high value equipment in the telecom market
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of installed systems to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical components and system performance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely while adhering to industry standards.
- Provide field service support to clients as needed, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Document all work performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in low voltage system installation or maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations as they pertain to low voltage installations.
- Familiarity with fire alarm systems, surveillance technology, security systems, and locksmithing is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with computer hardware.
- Proficient in using hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
