Job Description
As the Director of HIM, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HIM department, ensuring that health information is accurately maintained, stored, and protected in compliance with industry regulations. You will manage a team, providing leadership, training, and support to HIM staff, while coordinating with other departments to ensure the proper handling of patient data. Your role will include ensuring compliance with healthcare laws, implementing policies and procedures, and enhancing the overall efficiency of health information processes within the organization.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- Associate's degree required.
- RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification required.
- Registration with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
