Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Regional Service Operations Manager (RSOM) to oversee service operations, performance, and safety within the designated region. The RSOM will lead a team of service personnel, ensuring efficient equipment setup, repairs, and customer service while maintaining high operational standards. This role reports to the Regional General Manager and collaborates with various departments to drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead service personnel, including technicians, service writers, and warehouse staff.
- Oversee equipment setup, service, and repairs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to prioritize service requests.
- Monitor financial performance, set annual goals, and drive strategic business decisions.
- Handle warranty claims, technical assistance requests, and service bulletins promptly.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding service issues, repairs, and delivery schedules.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a secure work environment.
- Support recruitment, training, and retention efforts for service personnel.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage scheduling, payroll, and inventory.
- Participate in off-site training, customer outreach events, and field support activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or relevant technical training preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a management or leadership role, preferably in service or operations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to interpret financial data and make data-driven business decisions.
- Working knowledge of repair processes, equipment setup, and service management.
- Proficiency with scheduling, reporting, and service coordination software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience as a Service Manager or Operations Manager in a similar industry.
- Knowledge of warranty claims, technical assistance, and service bulletins.
- Background in mechanical repair, diesel engines, or hydraulics is a plus.
Work Environment:
- On-site presence required at least four days per week, with occasional travel for training and customer support.
