What are the responsibilities and job description for the Retail Sales Assistant Manager position at Integrity Outdoor Living?

Outdoor Furniture knowledge is a plus, but not required. An individual who is a great fit with the team and for the open position will be trained and supported to learn the Outdoor Living industry. *This is NOT a plant-oriented position, so plant knowledge is not required.
Responsibilities:
- Sales of showroom department items. "Showroom" department includes Outdoor Furniture, Fountains, Rugs, Garden & Home Decor, Pottery, and Christmas. *Nursery & Greenhouse departments are sold and managed by others.
- On days that the Showroom Sales Manager is off, oversee operations of the showroom portion of the store, including being lead sales and customer service manager.
- Meet sales targets for various showroom categories.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment.
- Manage cash register operations and ensure accuracy in cash handling and payments on account.
- Utilize an inventory & point-of-sale (POS) system to assist in execution of the above.
Skills:
- Ability to learn your products thoroughly & retain that knowledge.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using: POS systems for retail sales transactions -and- MS Excel to manage other parts of the business.
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate records and a tidy workspace.
- Exceptional customer service skills to provide a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
