Job Description & Skill Requirement
- Direct operations day-to-day process support of melting department in Casting Foundry facility.
- Experience with Sand Casting, Large and Small molds, Cores and other components used in making Castings.
- Experience with Pattern design and repair for developing Casting for various components.
- Continuous process improvement projects implementing automation and robotics.
- Support operations continuous improvement (CI cards) to achieve safety goals, capacity requirements, product cost and quality commitments.
- The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
- The position is challenged to quickly identify and utilize 6 sigma problem solving methodology resolving problems.
- This position will run capital projects for new equipment installations.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

- Equipment automation and controls experience.
- Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
- Project Management: Level Basic Understanding
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Level Basic Understanding
- Knowledge of how to develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs.
- Change Control - MFG: Level Basic Understanding
- Knowledge of the processes and procedures by which a change is identified, evaluated, approved, monitored and documented; ability to manage changes in the production environment and processes effectively.
- Lean Manufacturing: Level Working Knowledge
- Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
