Assembly Technician (4th Shift) – Southington, CT
🔹 Shift Schedule:
- Thursday & Friday: 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Saturday & Sunday: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
We are seeking an Assembly Technician to join our client’s Southington, CT facility on the 4th shift. In this role, you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot automatic and semi-automatic production equipment, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards. You’ll also play a critical role in identifying and resolving equipment issues to drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated and semi-automated machinery.
✅ Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
✅ Conduct machine setups, equipment adjustments, and product changeovers.
✅ Perform preventive maintenance and assist in process optimization.
✅ Complete shift start-up paperwork and ensure compliance with traceability requirements.
✅ Support team operations, update production boards, and engage in root cause analysis for downtime issues.
✅ Maintain a clean, organized, and 5S-compliant work environment.
✅ Assist with training new technicians and cross-functional team members.
What We’re Looking For:
🔹 Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
🔹 Familiarity with motor control relays, contactors, and jog circuits.
🔹 Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and system diagnostics.
🔹 Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and process parameters.
🔹 Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
🔹 A continuous improvement mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Qualifications:
✔️ 18 years of age
✔️ High School Diploma or GED (Technical school background preferred)
✔️ Up to 3 years of manufacturing experience (Experience with automated equipment preferred)
✔️ Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and push/pull up to 80 lbs.
✔️ Comfortable working in varied environments (clean rooms, production areas, etc.)
