Summary
InterDigital is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join a growing global operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation of bi-weekly payrolls for 250 employees within the United States and Canada. Responsible for post processing duties related to reporting and deduction funding. Function as the Payroll Administrators for all aspects of the Payroll system and play a key role in the implementation of the WorkDay system.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for payroll administration, compliance, and reporting.
- Enters additional compensation, deductions adjustments, and general one time adjustments.
- Analyze payroll audit reports prior to processing to identify and resolve payroll issues.
- Validate variances and financial trends each pay cycle.
- Monitor time off balances and holiday pay to ensure system policies are working appropriately and employees are paid accurately.
- Reconcile and fund benefit, pension, and garnishment deductions through vendor websites.
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for Accounting and HR departments.
- Prepare payroll journal entries, reconcile totals to payroll reports, and import journal entries into Accounting system.
- Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll administration.
- ADP and Workday experience is strongly preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Vlookup and pivot table is a must.
- Strong analytical skills and attentiveness to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of employee information.
- Ability to research, understand, and apply federal, state and local regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate on a global team.
- Ability to operate with a high level of autonomy and proactiveness as it relates to responsibilities within the role.
- Ability to partner with members of the HR and Accounting team globally depending upon the need.
- Ability to demonstrate a global mindset when executing task and solving problems.
