Position Summary:
Interfaith Works seeks a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team. The HR Manager will play a critical role in supporting our mission by overseeing all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and staff development. The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure new employees are effectively integrated into the organization.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and collaboration.
- Provide mentorship and support to managers.
- Performance Management:
- Oversee performance evaluation processes and guide supervisors and staff.
- Support professional development by identifying training opportunities and career growth pathways.
- Compliance and Policies:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
- Benefits Administration:
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related inquiries.
- HR Operations:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
- Oversee payroll processing in collaboration with the finance team.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for leadership.
- Organizational Development:
- Partner with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
- Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience/expertise).
- Minimum of 3 years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or social services setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Google Suites, Quickbooks Online, and ADP preferred.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus.
- Passion for the mission of Interfaith Works and a commitment to serving vulnerable populations.
Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation at .75 FTE is $47,342.66
