A Big-Picture View of Your Role:
- Care for patients' personal care and hygiene needs in facilities like nursing homes, assisted living centers, rehabilitation hospitals, and hospitals.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, including physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other healthcare staff, to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Assist patients with daily needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake.
- Aid with mobility, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Monitor vital signs, track intake/output, and document changes.
- Stay alert for patient issues requiring care adjustments, medication, or equipment.
The Essentials:
- Diploma or equivalent high school education required.
- At least 6 months of adult caregiving experience or CNA certification (with verifiable professional references).
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations.
- A compassionate nature, effective communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
