Your Role as a Resident Aide:
- Care for the personal hygiene and daily needs of patients in various healthcare settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and aides, to deliver exceptional patient care
- Assist with daily tasks such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, and nutritional intake
- Help with ambulation, transfers, and range of motion exercises
- Monitor vital signs, measure intake/output, and document any changes
- Observe patient conditions and notify supervisors of issues requiring adjustments in care, medication, or equipment
Requirements for Resident Aides:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least six months of previous adult caregiving experience or completion of a CNA course (must provide professional references or certificate of completion)
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- A compassionate nature, effective communication skills, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
