Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Trained Medication Aide to join our healthcare team. As a Trained Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our patients.
Salary: $28-$34 per hour depending on shift differential. A hiring bonus is available for full-time employees.
Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications to patients as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Assist with patient care and monitoring resident response to medication.
- Ensure medication storage and handling comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain accurate patient medication records and report any concerns or changes.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 48 hours of training as a Trained Medication Aide.
- Current CNA registry with the state of MN.
- One year of experience working in an assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and ability to chart effectively.
