Job Summary:
These roles involves overseeing the safe and efficient operations of a marina, including dock slip rentals, boat charters, and fuel sales, while ensuring profitability. Responsibilities also include staff management, training in seamanship and boat operations, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, coordinating boat repairs, budget administration, payroll maintenance, and ensuring environmentally conscious practices.

Responsibilities
- Oversee safe, profitable, and efficient marina operations, including rentals, charters, sales, and services
- Manage staff recruitment, development, scheduling, and performance in line with company policies
- Foster positive relationships with coworkers, National Park Service, and Location/Regional management
- Conduct comprehensive employee training, focusing on seamanship and boat operations
- Coordinate boat maintenance and repairs with relevant staff
- Administer financial matters, including payroll records and budget management
- Supervise and administer examinations for boat operators
- Ensure environmentally conscious marina operations and perform other duties as needed or assigned
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old or older
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with no high-risk violations in the past 3 years
- Must have a working familiarity with 46 CFR Parts 24-28 and 46 CFR Chapter 1, Parts 175 through 187
- Knowledge and understanding of Xanterra’s policies and procedures
- Computer and Technical Skills
- Typing Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of seamanship, boats, marine band radios, and marina operations
- Must have ability to tie proper Bowline and Cleat Hitch (Halyard) knots
- Knowledge of guide functions
- Knowledge of emergency and lifesaving procedures
- Training provided for current CPR and 1st Aid Certifications
- Knowledge of Yellowstone facilities and services
- Knowledge of NPS (National Park Service) Boating and Fishing Regulations
Physical Requirements include:
- Must pass DOT Physical
- Must pass DOT pre-employment and random drug screens
- Must be capable of lifting objects of up to 50 pounds
- Must be capable of bending, lifting, and standing throughout a 10 hour shift
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions (sun, rain, snow, etc.) for extended periods of time and provide proper attire for such conditions
- Must be able to work at elevations in excess of 7700 feet
