What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Call Center Representative position at INTERNAL MEDICINE OF GREATER NEW HAVEN?
Answering incoming calls from patients, pharmacies, labs, diagnostic centers and or other healthcare facilities. Obtaining proper demographic information from patient in a professional manner. Verifying insurance information with tools such as Availity, and other important websites or IVR. Creating appointments for patients. Obtaining messages and routing to the proper provider. Obtaining medication refill requests from pharmacies and routing to proper provider in a timely manner. Collecting incoming faxes. Confirming next day appointments for an assigned provider.
