What you bring to the table
The desire to compile and maintain the Company’s accounts payable records in accordance with established policies while overseeing credit activities for all channels within the company with complete accountability for the receivables function. Having the aptitude to carry out responsibilities and assignment of work involving calculating, processing, posting, verifying, and maintaining data and payments to receivable records while working autonomously.
What you’ll do as an Accounting Specialist
- Responsible for accounts payable including invoice entry, payment proposals, records, and vendor communication. Maintaining positive pay, balancing G/L accounts, and intercompany reconciliation.
- Prepare payables reports and maintain all payable files, as well as compile prepare and submit vendor 1099s
- Active participant in the monthly, quarterly and year end closings including processing of journal entries
- Maintaining Accounts Receivable and Credit by creating customer invoices, analyzing accounts, and preparing monthly reconciliation of balances while performing day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
- Responsible for monthly new order sales reporting
- Performs other ad hoc activities as requested
To succeed you must hold:
- Completed degree from a 4-year College or University
- 4 or more years of related experience, manufacturing a plus
- Working knowledge of Sage and/or SAP, Salesforce a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, project management)
