Recruitment Incentive:
A $2,000 incentive has been authorized for eligible and highly qualified applicants.
Duties:
- Researching sources, analyzing information, and initiating actions on tax issues, including obtaining returns, schedules, and required information for correction of accounts and records.
- Securing payment of delinquent taxes and filing of delinquent returns. Determining financial, levy source, adjustment, and uncollectible information; advising taxpayers of appeal procedures.
- Maintaining technical expertise and providing guidance to colleagues.
Seasonal Employment:
This position is considered seasonal, typically lasting 4-6 months or 6-8 months. At the end of an employee's work schedule, they are placed in non-pay status and may be recalled to duty as workload or budget dictates.
Career Progression:
This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses.
Qualifications:
You will qualify for one of the following opportunities based on your specialized experience and/or education.
General Experience:
Progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the competencies needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
Specialized Experience:
Experience performing miscellaneous tasks involving researching and processing financial documents, reviewing information and determining corrective action on accounts.
