International Archaeological Research Institute (IARII) and International Archaeology LLC are seeking a highly motivated and organized Office Manager and Compliance Officer to join our team and oversee daily office operations and ensure regulatory compliance. This dual role blends administrative support with compliance oversight, focusing on maintaining smooth physical and digital office functions while ensuring adherence to industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate efficiently across departments.
Responsibilities
Office Management
· Administrative Support: Manage common areas, oversee facilities and company vehicles, handle office supplies and equipment, and coordinate vendor contracts.
· Digital Workspace: Ensure the use of platforms like SharePoint and Teams. Ensure digital files are organized and make sense across the company. Work with department heads to implement filing procedures that support workflows of each department and reduce double filing.
· Coordination: Plan office rearrangements, assist with onboarding and IT-related training, manage desk and equipment assignments. Assist in evaluating employees and department requests for equity and compliance with regulations.
· Policy Management: Partner with HR to maintain office policies, manage employee training, and handle offboarding processes.
· Special Projects: Lead initiatives to improve office efficiency, reduce paper use, and modernize processes.
Compliance
· Develop and Implement Compliance Programs: Create and implement regulatory compliance programs and internal controls. Areas of compliance include cybersecurity (CMMC), OSHA, and other minor areas. The Compliance Officer will work with subject matter experts to help develop, enforce, and keep records of rules and regulations.
· Audit Processes: Proactively audit processes, practices, and documents to identify weaknesses and ensure compliance.
· Educate Employees: Train and educate employees on regulations and industry practices and address their questions about compliance.
· Manage Risk: Identify and manage regulatory risks with management and staff, ensuring adequate internal controls.
· Plan for Violations: Set plans to manage crises or compliance violations, investigate breaches, collect and analyze evidence, and assess impacts.
· Communicate: Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
· Incident Response: Assist in coordinating company efforts in the event of external audits or hostile events such as a cyberattack.
Qualifications

Preferred Experience
· Experience with compliance in areas such as CMMC (or other related cybersecurity standards), OSHA, and industry-specific regulations.
· Background dealing with regulated environments such as HIPAA, banking, military, or government sectors.
· Proven experience working among many teams to accomplish a common goal.
