What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor-Nights position at International Auto Processing?
Essential Duties :
- Supervise and communicate with department personnel regarding workload for the day, week, etc. and direct them in their daily activities.
- Reorder supplies, specialty tools, etc. as necessary to ensure adequate inventory is maintained.
- Notify Production Shop Manager of barriers to complete workload.
- Discipline and council employees as needed to comply with company policies and performance expectations.
- Assist Manager in monitoring the timeliness of work to avoid backlog and interruptions of other operations.
- Assist Manager in reviewing employee timecards, total hours worked, and flat rate hours produced for each employee and submit to Payroll weekly.
- Provide training to employees as needed to facilitate adequate performance of job functions and to comply with company policies.
- Provide orientation to new employees and temporary service employees, including proper work procedures, hazard communication standards and safe work practices.
- Monitor the quality of work to ensure manufacturer and company expectations are met.
- When needed, and with the assistance of Talent Acquisition, select and hire new employees to maintain adequate staffing.
- When needed and as required, participate in management meetings.
- Keep abreast of all the latest technical developments affecting accessory installations to ensure quality workmanship.
- Perform technical duties of the Accessory Installer and minor mechanical repair work as necessary to meet production schedule and in accordance with the quality standards established.
- Assist staging coordinator.
- Maintain a clean and hazard free work environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- SHIFT : Monday-Friday 6 : 30am - 3 : 00pm with the possibility of overtime and / or weekend work as directed by business needs.
