Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Running equipment, including: band saws, routers, heat benders, and flame polishers.
- Using appropriate measuring gauges to ensure quality.
- Weighing, measuring, and/or counting materials to ensure conformance to company quality standards.
- Read and follow work order specifications to manufacture acrylics products in an accurate and timely fashion
- Packing finished products
- Maintains quality control
- General clean-up of area
- Shipping finished products
Requirements
- Previous production experience ideal, preferably with plastic/acrylic materials.
- Good communication skills, high energy and a focused attitude, highly desirable.
- Strong listening, analytical and problem solving skills, adaptability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn are also beneficial.
- Proficient with measuring tools, i.e. calipers, tape measures.
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish is preferred
- Carpentry and/or woodworking experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred.
Mathematical Skills:
- Basic math skills using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions.
