• Blueprints and Diagrams: Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions to determine the best locations for fire alarm equipment.
• Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests to evaluate the functionality of fire alarm systems and components, and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
• Compliance: Ensure all installations meet local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Training: Provide training and instruction to building owners or managers on the use and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain records related to installations, inspections, and maintenance activities.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
• Collaboration: Work with electricians and other construction professionals during the installation process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in electrical or low voltage installation.
• Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, proficiency with hand and power tools, and familiarity with local and national fire codes.
• Certifications: Certifications such as NICET Fire Alarm, OSHA, or local electrician licenses are a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, climb ladders, and operate scissor or aerial lifts.
