Position Overview :
The Junior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the Finance and internal departments by performing full-cycle processing of accounts receivable, inventory reconciliation, recording various financial activities, preparing reports, and communicating with customers and vendors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with operations staff and management to develop, refine, and document inventory controls and procedures in SAGE 100.
- Ensure inventory adjustments in SAGE 100 are approved internally and provide the CFO with updates on their impact on the income statement.
- Improve sales order workflows by analyzing root causes, bills of material, warehouse tracking, and routing analysis.
- Manage complex spreadsheets containing inventory data, e-commerce records, and accounting adjustments.
- Oversee and maintain accurate employee expense records in SAGE 100.
- Process and reconcile bank statements and cash receipts.
- Manage and process monthly accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain accounting files and records to ensure compliance with retention and regulatory standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of balance sheet and income statement transactions.
- Assist in additional accounting projects as directed by the CFO.
- Support year-end audits, tax preparation for the CPA firm, and record-keeping activities.
